School Suspensions and Expulsions

I bring an insider’s perspective to my practice of Education Law for my clients in matters involving academic suspensions and expulsions at all levels of education from primary school through graduate school. As a full spectrum litigation, negotiations, and mediation Education Law Attorney, I am eager to provide my clients with aggressive and eloquent legal representation at all stages of the suspension or expulsion process.

I am a former California public and private school educator with successful teaching experience in secondary school and college classrooms, as well as extensive experience in Summer programs, after-school learning programs, arts and music education, and extracurricular sports coaching. I received the California Governor’s Teaching Award which was granted to the 1,000 best California teachers committed to social justice in under-served public school systems.

“Ali Ebrahimzadeh is a determined lawyer who likes to get his work done in an effective and efficient manner. He shows his determination by doing the right research at the right time and pulling tricks out of his sleeve when you least expect it. His drive pushes you to be more involved in your case and inspires you to keep up with him and work at his pace. His work ethic has definitely motivated me to work harder on everyday tasks too. Ali is a respectable man, he works past you[r] expectations, and I can guarantee you will walk out of this 100% satisfied.”

I aim to guide individual and institutional clients through school conflicts, negotiations with students, school counselors and administrators, legal representation at Grievance Review Board Hearings and Appeal Hearings, and litigation representation in Education Lawsuits involving students and schools for various causes of action related to suspensions and expulsions.

In representing Education Law clients in suspension and expulsion matters, I investigate the underlying charges which often may be premised upon alleged violations of school policies or related violations of Criminal Law, including but not limited to Plagiarism, Sexual Harassment, Stalking, Academic Probation violations, Failure to Attend classes, Disturbing the Peace, Civil Disobedience on Campus, or confrontations and fights with other students, staff, or faculty. I also investigate students’ allegations against the school and/or its faculty and staff including but not limited to Racial or Gender Discrimination, Defamation of Character, Breach of Contract, Breach of the Implied Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, and Civil Rights violations infringing upon Free Speech, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom to Assemble.

I am eager to bring exacting legal representation involving public and private schools, colleges, universities, and private educational and extracurricular institutions on behalf of my Education Law clients, be they Plaintiffs or Defendants, individuals or institutions.

Whenever necessary and appropriate, my Education Law practice is capable of involving media professionals and members of the press, expert witnesses such as Master Teachers and Therapists, Jury Selection Professionals, Private Investigators, and Audio-Visual Experts to bring cutting edge legal representation tools to my clients’ cases so that I can give them every possible advantage during the negotiations and litigation process.

“There is a reason that Ali Ebrahimzadeh is acknowledged in the elite group of, “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers organization. Words that come to mind after consulting with him [are] knowledgeable, trustworthy, of high character, and down to earth. I would highly recommend him to anyone who seeks legal representation from someone who will “shoot straight,” and knows the law. I have worked with various [attorneys] professionally, and personally, and I only wish I knew of Ali sooner. He would have been the only one. You can’t go wrong seeking his counsel.”
